An 18-inch low-frequency system Trapezoidal cabinet matches the footprint of the FRX-640/660/940. Use with full-range FRX systems to extend response to a solid 37 Hz. FRX+ Series loudspeakers are designed for applications in critical reverberant spaces where excellent directivity control is mandatory. Typical small-sized speaker systems are not able to maintain their rated coverage angles below 2000 Hz. Their wide beamwidth in the low midband is accompanied by serious degradation of speech intelligibility and clarity of music signals in such hostile environments.

The FRX+181 is designed for applications where extended low frequency response is desired in an FRX+ installation. It is a trapezoidal enclosure identical in size, appearance and rigging to the FRX+ full-range systems. An 18" LF transducer is centrally mounted in a large optimally-vented enclosure for efficient deep-bass response that requires only minimal equalization. These professional fixed install speakers deliver a broad range of performance options including multiple rotatable horn patterns, matching sub-woofer, full-range systems with easily switchable passive or biamp operation, and EV’s world renowned transducer technology for response that is smooth and linear. The FRX+ Series is an economical and flexible solution for the most demanding installations.
