Description:

The Accounting Manager/Controller for government contractor will oversee all accounting activities including month end processing, rate calculations, cash flow, and budgeting.

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, collections, sales tax reporting, payroll, inventory, journal and account reconciliations. Reconciling and producing monthly profit and loss statement, rate calculations, cash flow and budgeting in accordance with FARs and GAPP. Monthly completion of various state sales tax reports, journal reconciliation and bank account reconciliation.

Supervisor for accounting staff.

Required Skills:

Solid foundation in accounting basics with a minimum of five (5) years accounting experience. Familiar with DOD contracts and FAR requirements. Experience with DCAA audits a plus.

Analytical ability to gather, calculate and summarize data for accurate reporting of financial assets and liabilities. Demonstrated computer skills with in-depth knowledge of Excel and accounting software.

Preferred Skills:

MAS200 or other government accounting systems and Microsoft Office products.

Education:

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
