Description:
The Field Technician serves as a member of the Loyola Spatial Systems team responsible for installation and maintenance of GPS reference stations and supporting tasks. Primary tasks include reference station site testing and data analysis, planning and inventory management of reference station tools and hardware, complete installation of GPS reference stations including hardware mounting, cable runs, receiver configuration and testing. The successful candidate should be an aggressive, independent worker capable of self-management with little supervision.
This position will also require support activities for Loyola's sales staff throughout Virginia, Maryland, D.C. and West Virginia.

Required Skills:
Construction skills to enable the secure installation of 4" pipe antenna mounts to masonry structures, knowledge in running antenna and ethernet cables, mounting NEMA enclosures to walls of all materials, cable management & basic computer skills.

Preferred Skills:
Basic I.T./computer networking skills and GPS surveying knowledge a plus.

Travel:
This position requires extensive overnight travel throughout VA, WV, MD & DC.
|
Driving Record:
Candidate must have good driving record.
|
Education:
High School Diploma, some college or advanced training preferred.
