Description:
This position will work with the subject matter experts in the Joint Forces Command's Joint Training and Experimentation Network Operations and Security Center
to plan, create, revise and complete technical documents including but not limited to JTEN CONOPS to include JTEN Usage Request Procedure,
JTEN NOSC CONOPS, CCB Charter for all J7 networks, JTEN Connection Policy (black transport, red transport, COWAN, tunneling, etc.), Firewall Waiver Policy,
Emergency Response Policy, Recall Policy, Disaster Policy, Disaster Recovery Policy, Outage Notification Process.
In the accomplishment of these tasks, the technical writer will interview SME's, research and collect data and conduct analysis.
He/she will identify the project's purpose, who is the intended audience, what are the exact goals and objectives, how does it have to be organized, etc.
Create first and second drafts as necessary, conduct initial edits before presenting the material.
With a completed draft, present the material, to an individual, a group or online, and ultimately ask for overall approval.
Revision before completion should be considered a necessary aspect of the process.

Security Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education and Skills:
Applicant should have a college degree and experience with and be skilled in writing and designing end-user software manuals, online help, Web content, Web help,
training guides, installation guides, white papers, proposals, presentations, and reports using applications such as Adobe Creative Suite including
FrameMaker, Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Fireworks, HTML, XML, DHTML, CSS, and Javascript, and Microsoft Office Professional.
An understanding of wide area communication network architectures and information assurance policies is a plus.
