Homeland SecurityIn partnership with Microsoft, Loyola developed the spatial database and mapping component of a Homeland Security application that provides situational awareness and context for both developing and historical incidents. The implementation addresses information of incidents and geocodes this information for display on a web-based map. The system provides a view of developing situations where geographical links may be quickly determined and exploited by law enforcement personnel. This system is operational and is currently hosted on US Treasury secure servers. |
