Loyola Enterprises

National Environmental Relational Database

Loyola developed a web based Spill response Reporting System that allows immediate reporting by personnel at all ACC bases on releases of toxic substances, spills of fuel or other hazardous chemicals, and releases of hazardous substances due to aircraft mishaps. A Loyola-designed "form-based" interface on a Spill response Reporting System web page captures all relevant and legally required information. An automatic E-mail is generated at each step of the reporting process, which summarizes all information and changes made by each authority in the chain. This Spill response Reporting System implementation provides "point and click" on a base map which automatically inserts the latitude and longitude of the release into the location fields. Oracle 8i database with Oracle Spatial is used for the mapping component. Specialized reporting forms in the Spill response Reporting System allow the Release Manager to develop custom reports using Web-based charts, plots, trend-lines, graphs, and tabular data.
